Bratenahl Village Park Rules & Regulations

Pursuant to Chapter 925 Village Park of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Bratenahl

 

Park Hours

  • April 1st to October 31st :                    8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., daily.
  • November 1st to March 31st :            8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
  • The Park is closed to all persons from April 1st to October 31st between the hours of 8:31 p.m. and 7:59 a.m. and November 1st to March 31st between the hours of 6:01 p.m. and 7:59 a.m. 
  • No one is to enter and remain in the Park when the Park is closed unless specifically authorized by the Recreation Director or the Mayor. 
  • Children under the age of six (6) years are not allowed in the Park at any time without being accompanied by an adult.

Prohibited

  • Beer, alcohol, and controlled substances.
  • Firearms, handguns, long guns, and all other dangerous ordnance and devices are listed in Section 549.01 of the Codified Ordinances.
  • Smoking of any substance (tobacco, e-cigarettes, marijuana, or any other substance).
  • Fires, including the cooking of food.
  • Team league games or practices, unless authorized by the Recreation Director or Mayor.
  • Bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, automobiles, trucks, campers, vans, golf carts, or any other vehicles are not permitted in the Park except upon the paved roadway.
  • No football games, baseball games, or other sports activities shall be permitted in an area starting at the westerly fence of the tennis courts to Bratenahl Road.

Children's Park (Playground area):

  • Persons thirteen (13) years or older may not use the facilities of the Children's Park except in a supervisory capacity.
  • The baby swings are limited to children five (5) years of age and younger. Any swing with leg inserts is a baby swing.
  • Animals are not permitted in the Children’s Park.

Penalty

  • Whoever violates Sections 925.01 through 925.09 shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor with fines up to one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00).
