Typically ordinary maintenance and repairs or decorative elements do no require a permit. Examples: flooring, carpet, interior or exterior painting, dry wall or plaster repairs, facia board, repairs to asphalt sealcoating, window replacement (if not changing design or opening) tuck pointing. - Construction work hours are between 7 am-5 pm (Monday - Friday)
- No construction work is permitted on the weekends or holidays unless special permission is granted by the Mayor.
- All requests for special permission to work outside permitted work hours must be in writing and addressed to the Mayor. A copy of the request must also be submitted to the Building Department.

A performance bond is issued to one party of a contract as a guarantee against the failure to the other party to meet obligations specified in the contract. A performance bond is usually provided by a bank or an insurance company to make sure a contractor completes designated projects and follows local codes. We require all contractors to register with the Building Department requiring a bond and Certificate of Insurance.
