Powers and Mission of the Bratenahl Shade Tree Commission

903.08 POWERS AND MISSION STATEMENT.

(a) The Commission shall have power to study, investigate, plan, advise, report and recommend to Council or the Mayor any action, program, plan or legislation which the Commission shall find or determine to be necessary or advisable for the care, preservation, trimming, planting, replanting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs in public ways, streets, alleys, parks or other property owned by the Village. The Shade Tree Commission also shall have the authority to grant certain permits as specified in this chapter.

 (b) The mission of the Bratenahl Shade Tree Commission is to maximize the benefits of the Village’s urban forest for the environmental, social and economic advantages it offers to the residents. (Ord. 3972. Passed 5-16-18.)
