Councilperson Beckenbach has served since 2002, and as President Pro-Temp of Council on nine occasions. She organized the Village's Solid Waste and Recycling program.
Her community service includes eight years as Bratenahl Community Foundation board member; nine-year member of the East 140th Street Association; Chairperson of the Community of St. Peter Arts Committee; Board member of the Cleveland Institute of Music Women’s Committee, serving two years as President; and Past board member of the Cleveland Institute of Music.
She earned a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Kent State University.
Ms. Beckenbach is currently employed as the Personal Assistant to the Professor and Chairperson of the Urban Studies Department at Cleveland State University’s Maxine Levine School of Urban Studies.
